Filipinx Comfort Food

Delivered to the comfort of your home (in Los Angeles)

Food is a foundational piece of our existence as humans, just as much as love and connection is. No wonder there is magic when we experience moments when food and community come together. Which is why sharing a table is one of the most special and sacred human practices. “Kasama” in tagalog is a term of endearment that means companion or partner, or to join with. This project is an extension of my love for food and my community and the power it has in bringing us together.

Greetings! My name is Jade Phoenix Martinez, owner of KASAMA Eats! I am a first gen Filipinx-American, born and raised in Los Angeles! Like many fil-am immigrants, I grew up in a multi generational family, so I was lucky to spend my adolescence living with my lolo and lola, so of course, I inherited my “food as Love language” from my Lola. She was a homemaker extraordinaire for 96 years strong that passed away almost one year ago last June. Today, I still carry her with me, in many ways she is my partner in this endeavor since the food we make are all of her original recipes and love!

KASAMA eats is an offspring of that love. Each food item and bite, wrapped with care that is shared across the city is another outpouring and testament to the power of food and community! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and support my business!

Sincerely,

Jade
